Top threads by message count

Real conversation threads — a group text counts as one thread, not smeared across every member. Threads unify across name changes. Post-2020 counts for close contacts skew low (RCS chats aren't captured).

Read with these caveats

Two backup gaps, not silence: Feb–Dec 2015 (a hole inside the SMS Backup+ Gmail archive) and Oct 2016–Dec 2019 (JON-838). Never read either dip as behavior.
RCS undercount: post-2020 per-contact volume for close contacts skews low because RCS “chat” messages aren't captured.
The call log has its own holes: nothing for 2016–2019 and 2023.
Photo themes are keyword-classified from Claude Vision descriptions. Directional, not exact.
